He is studying Applied Economics with a minor in Finance. Howard's daughter Courtney graduated from Goucher College in 3 1/2 years with a double major in Business and Psychology. She is currently employed by a privately held consulting firm.

Coached youth sports (Annandale Youth Lacrosse) for 6 years and currently coaches Woodson HS varsity lacrosse during the off-season.

Active in his synagogue, Congregation Olam Tikvah in Fairfax, VA, where he serves on The Board of The Olam Tikvah Men’s Club as Vice President.

Hobbies include: volunteer work/giving back to the community, following The Washington Redskins, The Nationals, The Capitals and The Wizards, playing tennis and enjoying all forms of music.
